Day 5 - then what?

I've done my 5 full days isolating but I still got a really strong positive line on a test I did today. Not sure what to do now!
Work isn't an issue as I can WFH very easily into next week if I need to.
But what about family members? I have grown up children who all have big commitments next week; one has a job interview on Wednesday and is going on holiday on Thursday, the other is someone's bridesmaid next weekend, so it's pretty crucial I don't pass this Covid on to any of them.
But I'm SO bored of being stuck in one room, living, eating and sleeping there alone. When will I be safe to come out and mix freely with my family again?

I feel your pain! I’ve just finished isolating for 10 days. Like you, I wanted to make sure I didn’t pass it to anyone else in the family as they have important events next week. I did go out a bit on days 7-10, walks and small shopping trips but when at home I kept to my bedroom. My tests started to be fainter about day 8 I think.

I’d go outside - walk where it’s not too crowded with mask in if needs be - you’re much less likely to infect someone outside. I was with a friend outside on Sun the day before my positive test and she’s not got it yet!!
I have kept my distance at home as much as poss but not in one room as I’d just go crazy. Both (adult) family members here have had covid in past 6 months and I think they’d be showing symptoms by now if they were going to get it from me!
I’ve missed 2 important things this week and liable to miss another, it’s totally gutting and it’s what has upset me the most.
