Covid & Shingles

My poor 9 month old baby has developed Shingles from having Covid. Anyone else experience this?

I had covid last month and now have shingles.

I have a history of shingles though, and it flares back up when I've been ill or stressed. This has been my worst bout so far, my doc thinks directly as a result of covid.

Your poor baby :( hope they recover quickly. Can they take meds for it at that age?

When did they have chicken pox?
You cant have shingles without having chicken pox first

My friend's son had covid then shingles two weeks later

She had chicken pox in December when she was only 3 months old.

My son had shingles and covid at the same time.

My colleague had shingles straight after covid.

I’ve currently got Covid and thought I was coming out the other side but have had nerve pain in my upper left arm this afternoon thats getting worse. Your post has made me wonder if this may be the start of shingles or maybe just another crappy covid symptom

My daughter was diagnosed with shingles (via a picture on the phone as they weren't doing tests then) convinced it was vivid though.

Having chicken pox under 1 year gives a higher chance of childhood shingles. My ds had CP at 5½ months and shingles age 3. Hope they recover quickly OP.
