Coronavirus shaming....really

So last week one of my parents became v ill.
I tried to help them and they ended up in hospital which was the best place for them.
I couldn't visit so 7 other family members took it in turns to go.
I arranged cover so I could go and fell ill on my day with Coronavirus.!
Bad timing I know.
Since then I've had a string of texts saying I went back to work too soon,my boss seemed surprised I even had a day off.
What is with the shaming.Obviously I didn't get it on purpose and the rules changed in March regarding sick pay starting on day 4.
We can't be the only ones expected to work.
Has anyone else had this or are my family still behind the times.
I am shocked at the back stabbing I've had tbh.

It’s not just you but Boris deliberately muddied the living with covid message so that people thought that it just meant carry on as normal. I’ve got a feeling if public health had been in charge of the messaging around the guidance it would have come across very differently.

Given how transmissible this variant is and given how much people I know have been wiped out by it (even if you haven’t) the question really is his much if your workplace will you take out and how much will your work be affected by not having any staff.
