Is this covid?

I don't have a test and apparently can't order one online, I didn't realise they had stopped sending them out to everyone.
I have awful headache, awful earache, achy muscles all over - feels like stabbing pains all over, chest feels a bit thick, but no cough, no temperature (other than current heatwave!) and have not lost taste or smell.
Should I assume covid and stay in?
To be honest feel too achy to go out anyway but interested to hear if my symptoms match anyone who tested positive.

Everyone has different symptoms. Only way to know is to test. You can buy them online as you haven't been able to get free ones for ages.

Sounds like covid. I had it a couple of weeks ago - headache, sore throat, earache and the muscle pain was the worst I have experienced.

the fought didn’t start until about day 6.

lots of rest - lots of water - pain killers - and trashy TV.

That's exactly my plan!

Assume it is. You can order tests online from Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds etc

JimDixon · 12/07/2022 21:33

You can still order free tests from the NHS website if you answer the questions in the "right" way.

These are the most common symptoms at present.

Cough
Runny nose
Sore throat
Fatigue
Headache
Muscle pain
Sneezing
Pain

Fever and loss of taste/smell are well down the list of common symptoms. I had/have pretty much all of that list, the sore throat being especially, well, sore.

dementedpixie · 12/07/2022 22:32

3 of us had the sore throat, runny/blocked nose and dry cough (I lost my sense of smell for a few days)

Does it really matter? You're clearly under the weather, surely stay in anyway if you're feeling that bad
