Nausea and gassy stomach

First time covid, this is day 5 of symptoms. Had cough, shivers, sore throat, fatigue etc but now feel really nauseated with on/off pains and a feeling of gas. It’s made me not really want to eat so just having small amounts of plain food which then makes me feel sick again. Anyone else had this, wondering whether to ask chemist or GP for something?

Yes, exactly this. After 5 days of basically terrible gas and diarrhea and occasional nausea (as well as mild fever, congestion, massive tiredness, dry mouth etc), finally back to somewhat normal this morning. I almost didn't eat at all for 2 days.

There are two things I can think which might contribute beyond the covid itself: I had terrible sinus congestion, which "drained" obviously into the stomach (I've had this before but normally only lasts 1-2 days), or, the painkillers / vitamin tablets triggering my IBS way more than normal.

Same here, in fact all 3 of us have had stomach issues with it, DH and DD have both been sick a couple of times, we've all had bouts of diarrhoea and the horrible, nauseous, heartburny feeling stopped me eating (unheard of!) for 4 days. I'm day 8 now, testing negative and feeling almost back to normal but the stomach symptoms were the last to go, about day 6 was when I finally felt better. Hope everyone gets well soon Flowers

Thanks, glad you’re both recovering. I’ve just managed to have some soup and feel slightly better, 🤞 Please let it continue, I hate feeling nauseated.
