Any false positives from home lft

Anyone get a false positive on a lft?

The strange thing is my head feels fine. It doesn't feel like I have a head cold. It doesn't feel like a flu.

I had a fever that I honest to god thought was associated with another condition I have.

I don’t think a false positive is at all likely. You obviously have Covid !
Some people have no symptoms at all, my dd was one of those. You had a fever, and hopefully will not get any more unwell. I know people who threw a fever and then felt better, and people who took a few days for the symptoms totally hit.

It's possible, how strong was the line? My DS often gets faint false positives on the flowflex ones but equally my DD got a strong positive before she got her symptoms. Some food and drink can also cause false positives if you had them just before, hence the instructions to wait half an hour.

False positive are very rare.

Why did you test if you don't trust the result??

Very very unlikely to be a false positive. Covid is different for everyone and often develops over days so the fact that it doesn't feel like a cold or flu for you is a misnomer.

Is it possible get false negative

Yes, or at least test negative with symptoms and later be positive. Current tests seem very sensitive though.

False positives very rare especially when cases are as a high as they are currently.
