I'm due in 8 days and my partners work/ our local area is riffe with covid at the moment. I'm just going to avoid going out but I did attend my sisters outside wedding on the weekend so I'm worried I could have picked it up from there. We can't afford for my partner to be off work but I'm so scared he will pick it up then I'll have to arrange a different birth partner and i don't even know logically who that could be. I'm so worried!

Please try not to worry.

It's so hard not to worry. I also worry that what if my little one gets it and nobody is willing to have him whilst I give birth or who will be willing to be my birth partner if I have covid and my partner also has covid (birth partners must be covid negative) then that covid negative birth partner gets covid and gets sent home before I actually give birth or isn't allowed to visit meaning I'm in hospital on my own with a newborn with no visitors, my after care with my first during the pandemic was appalling, telling me to call my partner in at 3am when I needed help after my c section after they sent him home at 9pm as visiting times were over knowing that they were short staffed and I couldn't get my son out of his crib on my own or bend to change his nappy. I'm so worried
