Still testing positive on day 8 . Had v mile symptoms which resolved by Monday, was feeling fine but stayed isolated. Now am exhausted.

Complicated by the fact we are due to fly on holidays on Monday. Any positive stories? Will I get my energy back ?

My colleague just tested negative on day 11. I’m on day 10, faint positive still. I think it will be negative soon. I also had fairly mild symptoms and then all of a sudden yesterday felt absolutely exhausted and a bit sick. More energy today; I walked 2 miles with the dog. So don’t lose hope, just take it slow. I had a v early night last night (for me!) and went to bed at 10.30…I think that helped.

PS I like your username - have you been there? I’d love to go.

Thanks for reply @Meowser72

I have done a few more things today but wouldn't manage a long walk, but still surprised after mild symptoms to be still positive. My daughter tested positive at the same time, her symptoms were worse and she is negative now.

Just rotten timing after dodging the bloody thing for 2 years .

Never been to Knottsberry, My dad had it on a whiskey glass the someone gave him about 40 years ago. I actually thought it was a berry farm until recently Grin

I tested negative day 12. I'm three weeks in now and still exhausted. Not sure if I'd be better if I didn't have a 2 year old so could actually rest

LovinglifeAF · 02/07/2022 12:09

I felt tired for a couple of weeks. Tbh if it’s a relaxing holiday I’d still go. If it was mountain climbing maybe I’d rebook!

LisaSimpson77 · 02/07/2022 12:29

The guidelines are 5 days isolation and symptoms gone, so I stopped testing after that, but wore a mask for another week or so. You don't need to be isolating now.
The tiredness is not fun though, I'm two months out and not completely over the tiredness. You need to eat well, drink loads of water, get plenty of sleep and wait for it to pass. Do you need to produce a negative test for your flight or will a vaccine certificate do?

I tested positive until day 10 and felt very tired for about 3 weeks afterwards. After that I felt back to normal 🙂
You need rest and recuperation OP x
