Faint positive then multiple negatives?

My daughter tested positive last week and is nearly negative now.

I've been testing daily as work in the community and I've been feeling a little off (exhausted, muscle aches, headache, beginnings of a runny nose).

I had a faint positive this morning followed by multiple negatives. How can this be?

My work have told me to wfh tomorrow and to test again in the morning.

Has anyone else had this? My faint line came up right away.

My DS sometimes gets faint false positives on the flowflex so it can happen, but apparently you also get the strongest positives first thing in the morning ( no idea why)

I've done two kinds of tests. Are the flow tech ones nasal only? Was negative on that one.

In general, a positive result is a positive result

It's likely you haven't got a very high viral load currently. LFTs aren't super sensitive, so one picked up a result but the others didn't.

I definitely feel like I have it, or the beginnings of it. I will test first thing in the morning. I only had it at the end of feb!

I did three tests - throat only, nose only and nose & throat. Nose was negative. So it's in my throat. How weird.

It's quite common for it only to show up on throat swabs, the virus is more likely to collect there. I always swab my throat, even with a nose one.

One might suggest the nose-only swabs had been bought in for a reason...

When I had it in feb I had a stronger positive on a nose swab.

I can't keep up anymore. Just gutted to be missing work.
