What do I report when I call in sick

I tested positive on Thursday, work said after isolation is done on day 5 I can return.

I am feeling a bit better(still have som symptoms) but my isolation isn’t finished yet, can I call in and say I’m still isolating? Or do I say I’m still symptomatic? I’m not sure how it works anymore

Tell them you’re ill. They probably don’t want you there anymore than you want to go. Less explanation the better.
