Is track and trace still a thing ?

I got a text yesterday saying I'd been in close contact with someone with the omnicron variant. Clicked on the link to sort out a test and it just took me to a dead end - nhs.uk-order-testkits.com/nhs. Does it sound like a scam ? (More worried about the contact than a dodgy link tbh !)

I don't know about test and trace, but this is a known scam. Definitely not real, so don't worry about possible contact.

Yes it’s a scam. Ignore it. And no test and trace doesn’t exist any more even if you do test positive.

It's a scam. Ignore.

Yes, it’s a scam. Test and Trace no longer exists. Both my DH and I got sent texts at the same time, so thought they must be genuine, but luckily ours came from an actual number, so I googled it and it came back as a scam number.

Not sure about your specific link OP but contact tracing does still exist. I have just reported my positive lateral flow on the NHS app and it says it will notify my contacts.

Even when t&t was fully operational it didn't tell you which variant you'd been exposed to.

The texts which mentioned variants have always been scams.
