I feel like I’ve run a marathon. When does the bone crushing fatigue end?

I'm on day 10 and oh my goodness the same!!!

Toffeewhirl · 25/06/2022 20:17

Am on Day 14. Still tired. Also suffering brain fog and some dizziness.

Pambo81 · 25/06/2022 21:39

Day 17 and still not right. So easily exhausted and can't shift the accompanying head cold

Yes to the brain fog and dizziness. I’m trying to work, I do a technical role and the guy I’m working with probably thinks I’m a bloody moron because I’m struggling to remember basic shit! It’s absolutely awful.

Sending sympathy! That must be so difficult. At least I'm working from home, so can mostly manage, but I'm worried I'm not coming across very well in online meetings. I feel sluggish. It's frustrating and I hope it soon passes.

I’m on 3 weeks now and definitely energy levels improved over the last few days. Feel virtually normal and send of smell is coming back, not fully yet though. Hope you all get the rest you need and feel better soon.

Blimeyherewegoagain · 25/06/2022 22:43

I assume what I’ve had is Covid- no tests left.
Awful for 5 days then felt much better but sadly relapsed.
Day 11 and my sinuses feel like they’re going to explode. Headache and tired.

That gives me some hope! I’ve lost my taste and smell too.

It seems to be common to feel better then to feel a lot worse.

Be gentle with yourselves! Covid fatigue is not the sort you can power through.

Pepperama · 26/06/2022 06:36

For me it was much better after 3 weeks and back to normal after about a month

That’s exactly what happened. Day 1-6 was terrible then 7/8 was feeling a bit better then 9-13 has been dreadful.

i feel a little better today. It’s so hard though, I work full time and have a 1 and 3 year old! Rest is not easy to come by.

2.5 weeks in and pretty much back to normal now. Still a bit tired that’s all. Hope you feel better soon

custardbear · 26/06/2022 13:29

Are you all vaccinated? Is this omicron? Mine lasted a few days and was like a very mild cold - many other colleagues at work had the same (hospital)

I’m fully vaccinated plus booster.

No idea if it’s omicron.

3x vaccines here

no idea what variant I just assumed must be whatever the latest one doing the rounds is.

Numbat2022 · 27/06/2022 11:02

3-4 weeks for me - I just went to bed once my toddler was asleep. Very boring but I couldn't stay awake!

Once I felt better I went back to normal quite quickly, I did a long bike ride on week 5 and was fine.

SloppyHousekeeper · 27/06/2022 12:58

I am on day 20. PCR tested positive 20 days, no symptoms and negative lfts. Since Friday I have symptoms and positive lft.

What does this mean? Because I now have symptoms and positive
lft I feel like I will be infectious. Has the virus been hiding in my body for 17 days waiting to show itself.

Sexnotgender · 27/06/2022 18:29

I’m now day 15 and still testing positive!

I feel a little better today, shattered because my baby was up at 3am but not as on my knees exhausted as I was.
