Hi posted before as was a contact to someone with covid on monday and flying on holiday today sat
Done lft day 2 , day , 4 and one this morning all negative , todays one I swabbed tonsil as well as nose even though nose only
No symptoms other than a slight headache last night as I couldn't sleep as i felt so anxious , took some paracetamol when I found some first thing and worked within 10 mins
Spoken to travel company and insurance and can't claim unless I actually test positive for covid ,
Would you still go , all my travel companions say yes but i am worried incase it takes longer to show and i test positive say tomorrow or next day.
I have had covid twice before and had more flu like symptoms and seemed to test positive within a couple of days of contact and they were from within my own household so more aware of timeline.
I have bought some masks to wear on the plane , but really what else can i do ?

Wear a mask on the plane and just go.

Perfectlystill · 25/06/2022 09:24

Doesn't sound like you've caught it. I would put in a mask and go.

KangarooKenny · 25/06/2022 09:28

Yes, go.
Have you spoken to anyone about your anxiety ?

worriedatthistime · 25/06/2022 09:51

@KangarooKenny yes anxiety need to get back on top of, do suffer with it and will go back to GP when I am back as gone out of control a bit more, I don't worry about me just how i may affect others and it can be very draining to be honest. Diagnosed OCD as well so doesn't make things like this easy

I'd go. I wouldn't have even tested tbh.

ApplesandBunions · 25/06/2022 10:03

I'd go, yes. If I were you I'd also consider wearing an FFP2 or 3 mask on the plane, because there will inevitably be some people with covid on there whether you're one of them or not, and you sound like you struggle with your anxiety.

LovinglifeAF · 25/06/2022 10:07

I would go in these circs as long as you feel well enough and not test. i wouldn’t go if I knew I had Covid but it’s swilling around everywhere so I wouldn’t keep testing just on the basis of being a contact

changingstages · 25/06/2022 15:00

look, I'm super cautious and very much anti-travelling with Covid but - you don't have it. It's true of course that it might develop, but it also might not. I'd stick a (proper FFP2) mask on and go.

worriedatthistime · 26/06/2022 00:14

Wore a fpp2 mask and went fingers crossed stay well
Plane felt better than the airport, airport was busy and not enough places to sit , people all a bit crammed in.
