Hi, numbers really rising fast in my area (hampshie). Anyone still with mild symptoms like with earlier omicron varients? Anyone just headaches /sinus pain? From what I'm reading it sounds more like the delta variant. But hoped... Fingers crossed.... Lots still getting mild symptoms xx

I have it much worse than friends who had it recently so am thinking mine is 4 or 5 🙄

We all have it. And are all quite ill. I have headache, swollen joints, sore throat, cough, upset stomach and vomiting. I've lost my voice. Brain fog and exhausted.

The rest of the family have a pick and mix of the symptoms.

All fully vaccinated. And youngest already had covid last September but none of the rest of us got it from him then.

I've never felt so ill

It’s rising everywhere not just Hampshire. Not sure what the variants are as I haven’t googled it.
Have you been vaccinated? Is this your first time with COVID or have you had it a few times before?

Most of our household currently has covid. Suspect this might be the new variant as loads of people round us currently positive.

DH is much less unwell than he was last time he had covid. He's tired and has a slight cough. I have heavy cold symptoms, sore throat and am very tired. DC have no symptoms whatsoever.

Luckily I don't know anybody who seems significantly more unwell than they have been previously.

How would anyone know what variant they had? Just because two people have the same variant doesn't mean they will necessarily have the same symptoms or a mild / not mild case. Of anything, never mind Covid. If you contract it you will have a set of symptoms and it might be mild or not. That's all anyone could possibly tell you.

I had it 2 weeks ago so I just assumed the latest variant.

it was really really mild. I’ve not heard of anyone I know being floored with it for months

I’m almost 50, was vulnerable as morbidly obese, triple vaccinated

I only tested to rule it out as I had a sore throat and runny nose. Immediate strong positive. But I felt fine. I did isolate as despite not really caring about Covid any more it did feel wrong to go out knowing I had it. Stayed in for 6 days by which time I was consistently testing negative. Lost taste and smell for a few days on day 2 or 3. Absolutely fine now. Worked from home throughout. Minimal cough when I had the sore throat, no fever.

anyone I have known with it in the last few weeks has also has it presenting like a mild cold.
