DS received a text message today saying

NHS: you have been identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive. Please order your test kit here (link)

it doesn’t show a phone number just ‘NHS’

is this likely to be a scam? I’m too scared to click on the link

Yes it'll be a scam. There isn't any contact tracing now

Hugasauras · 13/06/2022 06:47

Yes, scam

Nuisancepenguin · 13/06/2022 06:47

Yes, don’t click on it, delete as it is likely to be a scam. I had a similar message last week.

Antarcticant · 13/06/2022 06:49

My mum had one of those the other day. There's a lot of it about I think. Block the number.

I’ve had this. Scam. Block and delete

The one I had recently claimed they knew exactly which variant my close contact had contracted - impressive!

Well, I did recive a message on Saturday and then tested positive on Sunday- I registered my results with NHS and in the app and DH got a message later that day-

just wondering who the other person still using the app is that I was exposed to. I still wear a mask everywhere and here I am sick in bed.

In my experience the NHS ones dissapear, I can't find it again on my phone anywhere.
