Anyone just had mild symptoms?

PleaseWalktheDog · 10/06/2022 07:12

Blocked nose on one side, a bit phlegmy, slight gravelly throat but tested positive (work requires me to test twice a week)
DH and DDs have all had colds, well maybe not. We’re all triple vaxed.
We have a big family party next week, please share some positive stories?

I had next to no symptoms and weirdly more energy than usual. You'll be grand.

The vast majority of people have minor symptoms

GreatCrash · 10/06/2022 07:28

For me it was just a sore throat for a couple of days.

LalaLopsie · 10/06/2022 08:09

When did you test positive op?
I hope it stays mild for you, it does for so many.

JuneyJune · 10/06/2022 08:12

Yup was fine when we had it.

No one was any worse than a cold. And DH and I were double vaxxed rather than triple at the time I think.

DC weren't vaxxed at all and also very mild.

Horsemad · 10/06/2022 08:55

Individually I could have coped with the symptoms, together they have wiped me out. 😟

PleaseWalktheDog · 10/06/2022 09:18

@LalaLopsie tested last night.
Tired with bad cold like symptoms, I hope this is it.

Hi OP, hopefully you'll have a mild dose, but no one can really say.

totallyoutnumbered · 10/06/2022 09:27

I had no symptoms at all and only tested because one of the kids was positive. I have been absolutely exhausted ever since though. Hopefully the cold symptoms will pass quickly for you x

Thejoyfulstar · 10/06/2022 09:31

My symptoms were: a warm top lip and a sense of knowing that I had Covid. I don't even know why I tested to be honest!

Jules912 · 10/06/2022 12:05

DS just had a headache for a couple of days, though it absolutely floored me and I now have long Covid. Suspect I got a massive viral load though as spent a lot of time cuddled up with DS and shared a bed with DH.
Our symptoms were so different I'd've thought I had a different strain if I wasn't certain I caught it off them.

LeftFootForward · 10/06/2022 12:46

I had mild symptoms OP, mainly aching joints and a dry throat and a bit headachy. No cough, sneezing, temperature etc.

I had 2-3 days of sudden painful sinus headaches which started on day 8 which wasn't nice and then felt very tired for about 2-3 weeks but after that 100% back to full health.

If covid hadn't been a thing I would have just assumed I had some vague, weird, mild coldy type bug. I'm not fully vaccinated either because of a complicated family history.

Also, I lost my sense of smell and taste on day 7, just before the sinus headache started but it came back gradually after about 5 days and was normal again after 2 weeks.

I hope you feel better soon.

ermagerdabear · 16/06/2022 09:14

Me. I'm on possibly day 7 but only did a test on Monday because I work with the public and I still have to notify my workplace (plus there's a couple of vulnerable people who work there).

First time testing positive and I've had worse colds than this, tbh. The worst symptom has probably been fatigue if you can call it that. One minute I'm fine with plenty of energy but I think 'oh, I'll just sit down for a second' and I'll have fallen asleep.

DS and DH have it and they've been much worse. DH hasn't been able to get out of bed yet.

RadioRouge · 16/06/2022 11:12

Everything short of hospitalisation/ICU is considered "mild" isn't it?

TheKeatingFive · 16/06/2022 15:46

I had a mild headache, a tiny bit of a cough and I felt a bit queasy. That's it.

ILoveAllRainbowsx · 16/06/2022 18:13

Anyone replying, if you don't mind, could you please give an approximate age.

MangosteenSoda · 16/06/2022 18:25

Currently like a sinusy head cold with dry eyes. I’ve had an on off cough for a while but that went away when I tested positive (had tested negative before). Have actually enjoyed the last couple of days recuperating in my sunny garden.

Blue2022 · 16/06/2022 18:26

I was pregnant and unvaxxed last year when I got it. Very, very mild. Only tested as a colleague tested positive. Runny nose, felt bit run down (assumed it was just pregnancy at the time) then lost smell and taste senses. That was it. I had a common cold a few weeks before and felt much worse then.

Blue2022 · 16/06/2022 18:26

Age 31!

user1474315215 · 16/06/2022 18:28

I had no symptoms at all. Only tested because due to visit a CEV friend.

Snowdropsarelovely · 16/06/2022 18:34

I only had mild symptoms a few months ago, mainly achy and tired but teen DD has it now and is wiped out - really poorly

Nidan2Sandan · 16/06/2022 18:37

Sore throat & tired, I wasnt vaxxed. Still worked from home, my current hayfever is worse than covid was

47 - pre vaccine not mild but post vaccine like a cold really. Currently sneezing and sore throat and feel a bit tired. DH 47 same symptoms rough cold and cough but still working (no other people around).

CatWithARabbit · 17/06/2022 10:43

62 - felt v rough Monday, tested positive Tuesday morning. Am v tired, wake with sore throat which goes away after about an hour. Have bad hay fever so that's not helping either. Coughing for two days. No headache, no temperature So like a bad cold I suppose
