Is there a new Omicron scam text going around? Got a text through this morning and I have got a cold but don't think it is Omicron.

It's a scam. Contact tracing doesn't exist any more.

What did text say?

@Auntieobem and @AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair - text from NHS Test Kit and said:

NHS: you have been in close contact with a person who has contracted the Omicron variant. Please order a test kit via nhs order test and pay £0.99

In that case you don't even need to ask 😂

Yeah it's been going around a while. The daft twats haven't caught up that T&T doesn't exist anymore 🙄

I was aiming that at the scammers. They need new material.

To be fair to the scammers they are still trying it on because there are daft twats who believe it 😂

The best thing I ever did was to join my local scammer group on Facebook. Means you can ask or be kept up to date as each new scam comes out. As well as how they work. Saves a lot of headache when you're selling stuff.

I honestly don't know what's what re Covid these days. But my DM has a health condition which means if she gets Covid she'd be seriously ill or even die, so if I see a text or anything saying I've been compromised Covid wise I panic and go into overdrive!
