Working with positive test

So sorry to ask but need advice. I work with children. My son tested positive for covid and is not well at all so although I have no symptoms I have tested myself. A number of tests are all positive. My work have said I should still go in as long as I have no symptoms. My colleagues are understandably not happy for me to do this and I am so confused what to do? Is it right that I should go in? I know I am not poorly myself (yet) but I could infect my colleagues and the kids??? Not an option to work from home.

The ‘guidance’ is to try to stay away from people for 5 days. Very short sighted of your employer to say you can go in when your colleagues who catch it may feel poorly, and need several days off, or the children you work with may be going home to infect vulnerable people.
