How soon will I know?

Went to a music festival with a mate yesterday who was coughing a bit. Messaged me this morning to say she's unwell and has tested positive.

I've only got a few tests left, and am wondering with the current strain how soon I would need to test (assuming I don't have any symptoms)?

Well you were only exposed yesterday so I'd say at least 5 days or until you have symptoms.

I tested positive for covid exactly a week after exposure.

You might be fine. Assuming you were outside.
My BIL was in the car for 2 hours with PIL's with the windows shut the day he tested positive (they didn't know at the time) they didn't get it.

We travelled together and had a coffee inside before going outside.

I've been staying with a family member before who tested positive the day after I left and I didn't get it so I'm either 'super immune' (🤣) or I've dodged the bullet one too many times....

3-5 days.

I was 3 days after DS who was 3 days after when I think he was exposed. However if you've only got a few tests I wouldn't bother testing unless you get symptoms or plan to see someone especially vulnerable.
