Greece - Random Airport Testing

Hello,

Has anyone travelled to Greece recently and observed/been subject to random COVID testing? I am flying to Crete with my family next week and I’m quite anxious that we’ll be selected, especially as my son is terrified of being swabbed and would be very distressed if this happened.

Thanks

Greece lifted all Covid entry restrictions on the 1st May so I doubt there'll be any random testing. You should be fine.

Just come back from Crete, no random testing that I saw, but be aware that they are not letting anyone on buses to and from terminal without masks.

Someone tried to say they didn’t have one on them, and were told to go back inside and buy one - miraculously her husband had one in his top pocket.

I went to Crete recently and didn't see anyone being asked to do random testing.

Following as I'm going to Crete soon.

There are no more entry requirements for Greece regarding covid. No mandatory PLF, no vaccination certificates, no pre flight tests or random airport tests. It has all been lifted.
Have a wonderful time. Crete is lovely.

Guidance says random testing is still going on even after 1/5 and that even contacts have to isolate

its put me massively off Greece

I'm not sure why the guidance says you may be subject to random testing still as it just isn't happening and a number of greek airports have taken down the testing stations completely
