Covid

Is it COVID

I have caught some kind of virus, symptoms started two days ago, not sure if it’s COVID or not. I am very tired, have a sore throat and occasional cough, light fever, sweatiness, muscle aches and jelly legs. Had my vaccine and a booster in October, also had Omicron in February. Tested LFT negative twice, but will be checking.

I have a work trip in two days where I have to fly long hours and present in front of audience, would you cancel it if you were me?

It could be covid , it could be one of the other lovely viruses currently doing the rounds. Including Flu. If your lft tests are negative you have to go off those now seeing as we can’t PCR.

@Mirrorball2022 oh thanks. I didn’t know we can’t PCR any more. Last time I had COVID lateral flows were quite good in determining COVID but only from day 3.

If you are in the UK and have to fly long hours, will you need a PCR in order to do so? If so, you’ll know soon anyway.

Nobody here can give you an accurate diagnosis, though. If you’re too ill to make the trip, though, you’re too ill, regardless of the cause.

Also a pcr could still possibly pick up last times infection if not after 90 days.

IF you are really symptomatically unwell with anything ( I’m not talking a minor sniffle) you shouldn’t go on the trip to be honest especially as it involves flying and people face to face. It’s unfair to others.

@Mirrorball2022 I agree with you both, just feel awful letting people down.
