Things smelling extra lovely after covid?

Does anyone else have certain smells they're obsessed with since recovering from covid? There's a specific soap which is like crack to me now, and a type of blossom which seriously I cannot describe how delicious it smells ... Anyone else?!

Yep, we have a bright yellow Pineapple Broom blossoming outside our back door right now and both DH and I commented earlier just how scrumptious it smelled today. We are both 3-4 weeks post covid, and do not remember it smelling so good previous years.

Oh that's interesting @BeyondMyWits. Did you first lose taste/smell when you had Covid? Or not affected during the actual infection?

Yes, I lost both when I had covid, but only for 2 or 3 days.

I lost both when I had covid. Then all I could smell was cigarette smoke everywhere I went.
It's 7 months now and I'm still not right.

My DH keeps smelling cigarette smoke, too (that I can't smell) - both had Covid early April.

I had covid back in September. My sense of smell still not back and I can’t smell floral type smells. My shower gels, shampoo etc all

So strange but I have experienced something similar. Before I got pregnant with my eldest (now 12yrs) I loved the smell of vanilla. It changed when I was pregnant and smelt disgusting. It has been the same since but I could remember the old smell. I had covid about a month ago and lost all smell for about 2 weeks, the smell has switched back!! It smells great again!! It's so strange!

No but I can't smell bad smells! Which is good in a way but bad as I probably couldn't smell if there was a gas leak or burning or something

I lost my sense of smell and taste 2 weeks ago. I can't wait for it to come back. I hope I get a super-strength nose when it comes back!
