How does day 9 look like?

I’m on day 9- thought should start to feel better by now. I’m not- still coughing, stuffed nose abd throat scratchy. I’m really scared that I’ll end up in a ventilator- my dad did and didn’t make it so it’s still raw. My o2 levels are between 99-100.
can you badly deteriorate at this point?

Or is it just a slow recovery?

Sorry for your loss. Nobody knows how it's going to be for each person, but hope that you can take comfort from your oxygen levels. Hope you feel better soon.

@BeenToldComputerSaysNo thank you-

There a quite a few recent covid threads for omicron. Worth a read through. Many posters are still unwell at day 9. My oxygen has been at 93% and went for chest x Ray. But now I'm over that and it didn't deteriorate worse.

Are you vaccinated @MyGiddyAunt1 ?

CorsicaDreaming · 13/05/2022 05:09

I am very sorry to hear about your poor Dad, it must have been very traumatic Flowers

This is worth reading

Quite a few of us unwell like you for quite a while but not hospitalised. Omicron seems different from earlier strains - and if your oxygen is high that's a good sign

MyGiddyAunt1 · 13/05/2022 07:13

@CorsicaDreaming thank you- will read through. Yes I’m double vaccinated but not boosted.

I’ve tested negative today- does this mean I’ve not got enough virus particles in me to be detected but I’ll still have the symptoms lingering?

OP posts:
CorsicaDreaming · 13/05/2022 08:52

Yes basically that. The symptoms seem to linger on well beyond testing negative for some. But you should no longer be infectious.

MyGiddyAunt1 · 13/05/2022 09:10

@CorsicaDreaming upon closer inspection it’s not negative but very light

But I haven't tested again since
