Has anyone else had itchy skin when they had covid or afterwards? I don't have a rash but my hands, lower legs and feet are so so itchy. I tried taking Piriton but it made absolutely no difference.

Any advice much appreciated Smile

Do you have covid currently? There's a thing you can get in pregnancy that causes itchy legs and is actually really serious so I wonder if it's similar.

I had a positive test on 30th April but not tested since.

Tested positive today. Have a slight fever and headache but it's the itching that is driving me crazy. No rash but itching from top to toe and it's keeping me awake.

Is it wrong that I'm glad you are itching too? Means I'm not going mad lol.

Not at all. I came on to see if anyone else was so was relieved to see your post.

Starrr123 · 03/05/2023 20:17

hilbil21 · 04/05/2023 07:14

It's been a year since we had it. DH is still itching a bit. I itched for about a month.

@hilbil21 and @Sleepingstarsmommy, was your scalp also itchy? I tested positive yesterday and the itching is driving me mad- I thought I have head lice!

hilbil21 · 17/08/2023 06:43

@lovecafeaulait it was mainly my legs.. but I doubt covid is fussy. Probably just chooses somewhere and does it's worst lol.

@hilbil21 thanks for replying! I will assume it's due to Covid and that it will improve as I recover.

I had covid for the first time in June 2021 and since then I am constantly itching! I've had it three times now and after every time it gets worse and I have to take antihistamines every morning. Its usually my forearms, scalp and legs that's the worst.

i’m not a doctor but I think you should go and see your GP/practice nurse. I could be wrong but I’m sure itchiness can be associated with your liver and it’s probably not a bad idea to get your bloods checked.

Liver was my first thought.

It’s covid so absolutely anything is possible but itching + covid would make me want to rule out a liver issue.
