Positive lft?

DC had contact with covid positive child at the weekend. Last evening, she produced the test below (no line after ten or so minutes but this morning, it looked like this...). Did another which was negative (more confused than before...). What do you think? Might take her for a PCR, am undecided (we're not in UK in case you comment she does not need to isolate any more under government rules ;-))... She is asymptomatic and has not had Covid yet and is not vaccinated.

It looks positive, but am I right in reading that photo was taken 12 hours after you did the test? In which case bin it.
If you are concerned, take more frequent lft's for a while, or go for a pcr.

That's an evaporation line after being left overnight I should think. Discard after 30 minutes as they are meaningless after that. Maybe do daily LFTs for a few days to double check.

This.

Don’t drive yourself crazy by using the tests incorrectly, Chuck them away after the stated time has passed.

Repeat. My son's first positive came up after the timeframe too. Was very positive the next time he tested later that day.
