Still got a fever 10+ days?

Yesterday I felt much better and went out (outside) but I still keep getting a fever, is this normal or should I be worried about having a infection? I’m not coughing as much but am slightly short of breath but oxygen levels are all fine, slightly high heart rate but that’s normal when unwell?

I have slept half of today. I’m meant to be taking the dc away for a couple nights tomorrow and hoping I feel better. I am taking ibuprofen but that could possibly be making me short of breath? Fever just comes and goes throughout the day, as does the sinus pain (bunged up).

Has anyone else had this after 10 days? Is it something that may drag on for a while?

Is it high, or just slightly elevated? It suggests you have an ongoing infection - maybe chest or sinus?

I had this after what I assume was Covid in March 2020, I was prescribed antibiotics (GP wouldn't see me as I had a cough) and it went.

I’m not sure how high it is (my thermometer isn’t accurate), it isn’t continuous, just randomly spikes a few times a day and then goes down again.

I took antihistamines today as I though the sinus issues maybe hayfever on top of the covid, my nose has been much clearer today.

I will see how I am in the morning and if unwell I will try and get my gp to prescribe some antibiotics.

DD has had Covid symptoms since a week last Thursday, and tested positive a week last Sunday. She is unvaccinated due health anxiety, and she had Covid in March 20, when it wasn’t as bad as a cold - so she thought there was no need for vaccinations anyway, when a cold is worse!

Not so this time! She’s been in bed 13 days, more ill than she’s ever been while it swings between like flu or a cold, but worse, with nausea. Since Friday, her pulse has been 120 at rest - 111 told her, it’s her body fighting the infection. However last night, as she has a fever as well now, they decided she has a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics!
