Currently positive feel fine apart from a bit of a sniffle and scratchy throat.
Got a bottle of wine in the fridge for tonight to sit out in the garden with DH and enjoy.
Anyone drank while having Covid? If you feel ok is it ok?!

Yes. Drink the wine x

shazzer1978 · 16/04/2022 13:59

I drank almost every night when I had it as I had no work to go to or anywhere to be! Never enough for a hangover but still a reasonable amount. I didn’t have covid badly and don’t seem to have any after effects either but I know that’s just luck.

Wallywobbles · 16/04/2022 14:02

For a week or so red wine was disappointing but I pushed through.

This was my covid drink of choice too!
Bornslippery · 16/04/2022 14:30

Yes I am. It did taste a bit different though

ChocAuVin · 16/04/2022 14:33

Rum got me though covid. And chocolate.

This has been a public service announcement. Subscribe for more possibly terrible but definitely fun health advice Smile

ChocAuVin · 16/04/2022 14:33

Ps: feel better soon Flowers

Rno3gfr · 16/04/2022 15:05

I drank. I got Covid between Christmas and New Year. All plans cancelled, no work. I had wine.

Jules912 · 16/04/2022 15:06

I had one glass on the first day then coughed so much I was sick, which kind of put me off wine until I was feeling better.
Also for a while after I found it made the vertigo worse so be careful if that's one of your symptoms.

You're drinking the right thing - red wine is protective Grin only against catching it, but we can overlook that

TheKeatingFive · 16/04/2022 15:34

Yep, I was feeling fine so no reason not to

KylieKoKo · 16/04/2022 15:44

I did once I was over the worst. I had it back in November so needed something to keep me sane for the 10 days isolation.

ZaraSizeMedium · 16/04/2022 15:53

God yeah! I had covid and had to isolate for the 10 days leading up to Christmas, my first day out of isolation was Christmas Day. I have to say it was the most chilled relaxed build up to Christmas I’ve ever had.

I loved being off work, not being able to go out or have anyone over, I drank every single day.

Givemeallthegin8 · 16/04/2022 16:00

I was feeling awful with Covid and drank nearly every night out of about 7 days 🤣

Hot whiskeys to relieve symptoms- couldnt taste them but felt comforting 😆

britneyisfree · 16/04/2022 16:15

I didn't drink at all because I was paranoid
Also didn't have any sugar Hmm

DoctorSnortles · 16/04/2022 16:18

God, yes. I drank gallons of wine.

FrownedUpon · 16/04/2022 16:21

No, symptoms are worse if you’re dehydrated so I wouldn’t drink alcohol with covid.

Startuplife · 16/04/2022 16:21

I drank loads. We were away for New Year and I had no idea I had it until I had to do a test the next day to go back to work.

user1471509171 · 16/04/2022 19:13

10 days isolation with no work. I definitely had a few glasses of wine. It helped me sleep 😴

LifesTooShortYOLO · 16/04/2022 22:52

Thanks guys enjoyed a nice chilled glass of Pinot blush tonight and it went down a treat 😁

God yes and I felt really shit with covid- wine helped me get through.

PandoraP · 16/04/2022 22:59

Yes and it really helped Smile

crackofdoom · 16/04/2022 23:04

Wine was one of the only things I could taste- it was the tartness I guess. And God, I needed something to take the edge off being shut in the house on my own with the kids for 2 weeks 😬

Lindy2 · 16/04/2022 23:16

If you feel like you would enjoy it then go for it. Alcohol kills germs so just regard it as cleansing your insides.

I could hardly even sip water when I had Covid. Not being able to even face the thought of a glass of wine was one of my first symptoms!

bumblefeline · 16/04/2022 23:24

Yes a couple of Henry Westons helped me sleep.

Glad your wine was nice OP.
