Aching legs

I'm currently on day 5 since my positive lateral flow test last Saturday.
I was feeling unwell for 3 or 4 days before that but tests were negative.
I don't feel too unwell in myself now other than extreme tiredness but my legs are really hurting and aching inside.
It's both legs, mainly at the back above the knees and it feels like they are being squeezed inside. They don't hurt to touch and I can't see any redness or swelling but they just hurt. It is no better or worse if I walk, sit or lay down.
Has anyone else had this or similar with Covid?

I had this OP, in fact it was what prompted me to test. It mainly went after 24 to 48 hours. Years ago I had the same symptom with flu but that lasted on and off for weeks.

Thank you @LeftFootForward - glad to hear you didn't suffer for too long with it - hoping mine will be gone by the weekend

Yes my arms and legs ached. I just lay in bed with my electric under blanket and it helped ease it.

Yes very similar to my 17 year old DS who tested positive last Sunday. Complained of aching behind his knees and a very slight headache. Live in Wales so can still get LFTs

Our neighbour had that, it lasted about a week and is now gone. He's a bit older, maybe 70ish, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Yes pretty much the main symptom I had. I could barely walk

Yes OP, I've got this now and it has actually woken me up Hmm Day 6 here, and some of my other symptoms are dying back but the upper backs of my legs and my buttocks are very achey. Sorry to hear you're also struggling with it. No idea how long it might last sadly.

I had this on day 1 and 2. Aching hips and thighs, couldn't get comfortable no matter what!

MumofoneASD · 15/04/2022 00:42

Thank you for your replies - I feel much better knowing I'm not alone!
My legs woke me up/kept me awake last night.
Bizarrely they feel ok again now - but that could be down to the painkillers I took for my sinus pain earlier.
Wishing you all well

I had this too. Was awful for a couple of days but then went. Hot water bottles helped. Hope you feel better soon.

I had the aching legs too, and I had the same with my first vaccine. They were so painful and I just couldn't keep them still.
