Post Covid sore eyes?

Is this a thing? I think I had Covid for the third time a month ago. Ever since the acute symptoms start d to fade I’ve had such sore, dry, itchy eyes. It’s definitely not conjunctivitis. Possibly blepharitis which I had once 20 years ago, but my eyelids were inflamed with that and they’re not with this.

The inner and outer orders of my eyes really itch and tiny sore scabs keep forming at the outer corners on the skin. Allergy drops help to an extent but it doesn’t feel like hay fever eyes. Antihistamines do nothing. I’ve been bathing them carefully and I’ve got some ointment for sore eyes to use overnight but I’m just not getting any relief. Anyone else? And how do you fix it?

could it be a vitamin deficiency? maybe try some skin hair nails type multivitamin, also maybe you could try coconut oil to rub on.

I already take a hair, skin and nails multivitamin plus high strength vitamin D so I don’t think it’s that.
