Hi. I have recently had Covid for the first time (triple jabbed) was thinking that I would be safe for a while. Then a colleague who had it 4 weeks ago has just tested positive again. Has anybody else experienced this?

Took about 8 weeks for me.

oliviastwisted · 06/04/2022 22:27

Yep DS not vaccinated due to age twice in 31 days.

Four weeks! 12 weeks for my 3 year old and I thought that was bad enough.

Lilaclavenders · 07/04/2022 08:27

Is each subsequent infection milder than the previous one?

AntarcticTern · 07/04/2022 08:31

I've only had Covid once, but I know a couple of people who've only had around 6 weeks between infections.

Wonderwoman333 · 07/04/2022 09:05

We all had it in September for the first time (presumably delta) but not had it since despite myself (I'm a TA) and the dcs being frequent close contacts of people who tested positive. Most people I know have only had it once.

For my son, no. First time he was only ill for 24 hours - snotty and a high fever overnight. Second time he was ill (and miserable) for 48 hours, fever for 24 hours, snotty and coughing for a few days.

Thankfully both mild infections, no worse than a normal bad cold. But he was noticeably worse the second time. I'm assuming they were Omicron BA1 and BA2, based on timing.

6 weeks for my preschooler DS....worse the second time round

RickyZooom · 07/04/2022 21:36

Bang on 90 days for me… literally to the day. It’s like it was waiting to reinfect me Angry

8 weeks between infections with my dd.
Worth noting she is 10 and unvaccinated.

@Lilaclavenders

Is each subsequent infection milder than the previous one?
Definitely for my dd.
LateMumma · 07/04/2022 23:15

76 days, triple jabbed prior to first infection. Both fortunately fairly mild

Yes DS was negative on antigen and symptom free about 3 days later.

pinkcattydude · 08/04/2022 07:44

DS 90 days and far worse the second time, but the first time he had only sniffles. Second time 3 days in bed too tired to play on Xbox Shock
