Benefits to testing and reporting results

As we move into the next stage of living with covid, what are the advantages at an individual level to testing and having results recorded?
I'm not asking about population - level advantages about knowing case numbers, or treating ahead of meeting others, this is purely at the individual level.
I'm thinking here about the benefits of having your covid status on your medical record, or maybe for travel (although if fully vaccinated that's maybe not an issue). Are there are other reasons?

In case you have complications after Covid. Maybe important to know it was Covid? I don't know 😕

Yes anything long Covid difficult to get diagnosis if no record of your having had it.

It goes on your medical record so if you have any ongoing symptoms or any need to refer to it in the future there is confirmation. I spoke to my GP this week unrelated to covid and she knew I had covid as it was on my record from my ltf the day before.

Given the problems my friend had accessing long Covid support after having Covid before testing started, I want it on my medical records that I've had it.

This is why I made sure I registered all ours ( though it was last month when you were still meant to).

Don't think you can register the new not free tests though going forward , how convenient
