Yes, this what our head wrote:

From 1 April, anyone with a positive COVID-19 test result will be advised to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for five days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice will be three days. More generally, if an adult or child has not tested, but has respiratory symptoms and a high temperature, they will be advised to stay at home until the high temperature has gone and they feel well enough to resume their
normal activities.

DFE have published guidance. Think there is another thread with it linked

Ours have said keep them home if they have a new continuous cough, temperature or they’re too ill to attend until it’s passed.

Thing is with coughs, in my kid, they can last for weeks. She has suspected asthma..

I probably would keep her at home with a new continuous cough as she’d be awake a lot of the night.. but I couldn’t keep her home until it passed 🤷🏼‍♀️ She’d be off school for a month!

Ours have said to keep them off if too poorly and not to attend for at least 3 days or until no fever (if they have one) so basically the same as any other virus. The school my kids go to seem to be focusing on keeping them off wirh a fever and of course, kids shouldn't be in school with a fever covid or not but from my experience with covid, fever isn't always a sign - 4 of us had it and not one of us had a fever at any point during it!

They have not mentioned mild cold like symptoms that could be covid. Just said don't attend if they aren't feeling well enough so I assume good to go if it's mild! 🤷‍♀️

Ours haven't said anything yet ( probably due to being on Easter holidays), but the holiday club their going to next week says they shouldn't attend for 3 days if they have any new symptoms on the updated list.
