Now that they don't have to fund people testing anymore... Hmm

Do you have a link?

BalooLikeYou · 01/04/2022 20:45

Not OP, but here it is:

www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/main-symptoms/

Next review due: 15 April 2022

Unbelievable. Should have done that a year ago.

JanglyBeads · 01/04/2022 22:27

I know. Think the list for children and for adults are identical there's just more waffle about children getting it mildly on the latter?

So any employer or school guidance that still says test (if accessible) or isolate if you have symptoms is presumably going to have to change, because the symptoms are so non-specific?

Pleasegivemeyourwisdom · 01/04/2022 22:27

How pathetic

Lougle · 01/04/2022 22:30

I have Covid. School have said DD1 needs negative LFTs before attending. The gov site says don't test under 18s unless a medical professional tells you to.

purpleme12 · 01/04/2022 22:31

So basically it's any symptom of being poorly really....

Tiredoftiers · 01/04/2022 22:40

No update in Scotland yet.......

knowinglesseveryday · 01/04/2022 23:18

What utter bastards. The day after testing and restrictions end.

Rummikub · 01/04/2022 23:27

Does it mean one of those vague symptoms PLUS either temp or too ill to work?

Try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and either:

you have a high temperature
you do not feel well enough to go to work or do your normal activities

707smile · 02/04/2022 01:00

Definitely more accurate, definitely released after free testing ended to avoid having to fork out for tests and to get a clear picture of the case numbers.

Oh I see How’s this going to work?!
mummabear74 · 02/04/2022 02:32

Looks to m as if they've cut and paste it from the covid Zoe App!

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 02/04/2022 02:34

I think it is from Zoe.
mummabear74 · 02/04/2022 02:58

Quite insulting to them (Zoe App). The app was self funded for the first six months, then the government provided a grant, which they then withdrew after advising they were continuing to provide a grant! Now the Zoe team will self fund again but how long for?

SpringRainbow · 02/04/2022 06:43

This is just so typical of the Government Hmm

carefullycourageous · 02/04/2022 06:46

I hate this Conservative government. I properly hate them. I hate them so much it is not remotely rational.

I hope the entire cabinet step in dog shit this year.

BurgerKingAddict · 02/04/2022 07:28

They will still get voted in again next time.
Sad

HelloMist · 02/04/2022 12:20

That's shocking! Thanks for posting.

MissMarpleRocks · 02/04/2022 12:26

Unbelievable but not surprised.

I’ve had every single one & more of those symptoms this last couple of weeks. But I did have the original ones as well.

EileenGC · 02/04/2022 12:30

It's April 2022. I can't believe it's taken them until April 2022 to update that list. I keep thinking of all the times my rule-following friends in the UK kept going into work (schools, hospitals, etc) because they didn't have any of the 'main 3' so they were required to go in. What utter nonsense and what a ridiculous handling of the pandemic.

Even on MN I've been called stupid for testing after mild symptoms (I'm not in the UK so different rules) and people strongly defended 'the NHS website' as if it was medical professionals who updated it, not some useless officials who couldn't care less about the population... Sad, very sad.

Jules912 · 02/04/2022 13:53

About time! I do the Zoe study so knew about them already and tested on any illness, as it turned out I was the only one in my family who started with one of the original symptoms, though DH and DD got them a few days in. DS never did.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 02/04/2022 19:18

@purpleme12

So basically it's any symptom of being poorly really....
I have half of the symptoms all the time so I've no idea how I'll know if it's covid or normal life for me!
