Day 19, still positive

As title really.

Still feeling ropey on and off, but getting less on and more off as time passes. However I'm still really obviously positive. Not quite the Sharpie line of last week but still very, very clear.

I need to test negative for a full week before I can resume immunosuppressant medication, which has been paused now for almost three weeks and I'm really beginning to feel it (possibly the ropiness is down to that, thinking about it).

Just want to moan really. And maybe find hope that I won't be positive forever!

I presume this is on LFTs?
That must really suck. I hope your negative day comes soon you poor thing ThanksWine

Are they actually reliable once you've had a positive test and done your self isolation days? The advice here is not to do routine LFTs for 28 days after your first positive test and once you've done the ones to determine if you can have early release from isolation.

I have to have a week of clear negative tests before I can restart my medication. Particularly as I still have symptoms.

Fuck me, really? That’s shit.

I was bitching this morning because I’m still testing positive on day 7. Are they still strongly positive or have you noticed a fading?

They've faded quite a bit from the thick black line they were a few days ago but they're still definitely, clearly positive, no need to squint or anything.

It's probably something to do with being immunosuppressed I'm guessing.

Can you get a pcr test done

I don't need one - I know I'm still positive, I still have symptoms (although nowhere near as badly as last week). I have to be completely well before I can take my medication and testing negative on LFT.

Ah, that’s definitely not a strong positive, it’s looks like your immune system is (slowly) trying to clear it out.

Have you turned to upping your vitamin intake? Zinc, vitamin d and vitamin C are the immune boosting ones I believe although I appreciate it’s a balance when you have other things going on. Sorry I don’t have any other ideas to offer, it’s just a pants situation for you.

cushioncovers · 31/03/2022 13:43

Ah yes sorry op I see that your post was just to have a moan. I feel for you, must be awful to still feel grotty after nearly 3 weeks. I really hope it passes soon and you can enjoy any Easter chocolate that comes your way.

PITA5000 · 31/03/2022 20:08

OP try another brand of test. I was positive in November and to this day still get a faint line on Flow flex brand but have tried orient gene and NHS ones - both consistently negative.

SexiestDogWalker · 31/03/2022 20:45

Day 13 and positive for me. I was positive by LFT for 16 weeks my first time of having Covid 😳
