How long did it take to feel well again?

Just as the title says how long did it take you to feel normal again? I’ve just tested negative on Day 8 but still feel tired and a bit spaced out. Afternoon naps have become a regular thing! I still have a cough too.

When can I expect to feel back to normal?

I'm day 7 still positive, no symptoms and stir crazy.
Felt a little under the weather on day 3 and that was it. We're all different!

Kfjsjdbd · 29/03/2022 20:21

Also want to know this. Day 2 and I’m so up and down. So worried about what work is going to expect from me.

Seeline · 29/03/2022 20:26

I'm at 6 weeks and pretty much there. Brain fog almost disappeared as has the cough, but if I do too much the wave of exhaustion hits. I didn't even have it that badly.

Malariahilaria · 29/03/2022 20:29

Day 7 here. 3 days at the start were horrendous but fine now. Still positive and going stir crazy locked in the spare room. Want to hug my children but trying not to spread it.

I’m on day 14 went back to work yesterday.
Still feel like I have a bit of a cold and still coughing.
Definitely still flag quite a bit during the day and am absolutely exhausted right now and headachy.
I do feel a bit better every day but I think it’s going to be a while before I’m back at full steam.

Trinacham · 29/03/2022 20:33

Everyone is different. I was unvaccinated and felt tired for 1 day. Never felt unwell at all.

VeganGod · 29/03/2022 20:44

Day 10 and I’d like to know too. I was still positive yesterday but haven’t tested today. I’ve had lots of symptoms, currently ‘just’ a cough, chills, nausea and exhaustion.

I’m just resting and drinking lots and every night thinking I’ll feel better tomorrow. 🙏🏻

The first time I had Covid April 2020 it took several weeks to feel mostly normal and around 8 weeks start to finish to stop coughing
I've now got it a 2nd time ( 3 jabs and mask wearing etc) and feel shocking but it's very different as I have sore throat bad sinuses and terrible joint pain. I'm off work as I have no energy and can't concentrate. I'm hoping that rest and eating as well as I can ( little appetite) and hydration will help me get better quicker. I get married a month today so hoping to look a little better than death warmed up which is my current look.
Sending socially distanced hugs.

I'm day 5 and feeling OK after feeling horrendous for the past 3. Am very tired though and often losing my thoughts. Hoping for negative tomorrow to go back to work before Easter hols

Bytrgrewd · 29/03/2022 20:59

A month or so after testing positive and I’m still not fully recovered but definitely getting there.

misskatamari · 29/03/2022 21:32

I was a lot better after a few weeks, but it's a couple of months now and i would say it's only now I'm feeling more properly over it. Had awful fatigue for the last few months, especially month one post feeling better. My advice would be to pace yourself and don't push to be "back to normal" right away. Rest as much as you can and hopefully it will aid recovery

WhatTheWhoTheWhatThe · 29/03/2022 21:33

I’m 3 weeks in. A lot better than I was but still not completely well

msc6199 · 29/03/2022 21:42

Day 14 for me today, I still feel quite fatigued. A lot better than how I was, but definitely not 100% - and still testing positive on LFTs. Hope you feel better soon x

RidingMyBike · 29/03/2022 21:46

About six weeks to get back to my usual energy levels. The cough lasted about as long, although not as badly as when I first had it. I was careful to build up gradually though and not overdo it. Had a rest when I needed to.

Jules912 · 29/03/2022 21:55

Day 17 and still very tired and ache all over if I do too much but this week is better than last.
DH and DS were both only ill for 4-5 days though DH still has a cough.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/03/2022 21:55

Day 11 here and I feel proper shite still. I’m back at work but probably shouldn’t be.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/03/2022 21:57

I didn’t start to get a positive lateral flow until about day eight (PCR confirmed though) and now they are so vivid.

This is me too - just when I think I'm OK I come over weak as a kitten again 😕

Day 6 here. Have been pretty much back to normal since Day 4. Longing for Friday.
