So my two boys 13 and 11 are suffering with symptoms

DS 13 strong positive lft Sunday morning horrendous coughing and cold like symptoms. He tested friday and Saturday negative

Ds11 coughing and definate faint line yesterday but no other symptoms

This morning they are both negative and no hint of a line!!?? So ive booked a pcr

I'm wondering if my youngest has had it longer and passed it to his brother and not the other way around. He has autism and not great with the swabbing and won't let me do it he just gets upset so I dont force it. Im pretty certain they have it or have had it recently but going for a pcr soon to confirm.

If its negative then shall I assume they have had the virus longer ?? If its positive then I'll stick to what we are doing etc
Its driving me crazy all this now im autistic also and my anxiety is really high. Im so scared of picking it up as I have prolapses and don't want this cough Sad

I don’t think it’s a theory without foundation but you will still need to stick to the five days then two negative tests if their school or something requires it.

I think kids have a tendency to clear an infection enough for negative LFT’s quite quickly, but that’s anecdotal. My dd was clearly negative on day 5 but I’m still positive at the same point in the disease. There’s always the possibility she’s had a longer infection than I thought too.
