Phlegm (TMI warning!)

It's officially my day 11 but have had symptoms for more than two weeks now.
Over the last few days I have become a phlegm production facility, all different shades of greeny yellow or yellowy green. No fever but still have a productive cough.
It's getting really annoying now, I can feel it there at the back of my throat and nose all the time, and I keep bringing it up.
My kids didn't have this when they had covid, so wondering if it's a common thing or possibly a sign of another infection?

I have phlegm with covid. Only day 2 though.

I think if it lasts too much longer call your surgery. Yellow/green phlegm can be sign of infection.

I had COVID and a phlegmy cough that lasted for weeks and then the phlegm turned a yellow-green color. It turned out to be bronchitis.

Definitely see a doctor.

If it's not an infection, I would try cutting down on dairy. I eat it but it makes me very phlegmy when I am run down or ill.

I was coughing plehm for three months when I was younger. Parents told me to go to doctors. I think I had episodes of fever twice. I didn't go to doctors but finally coughing stopped.

I’m day 12 and have lingering cough and bringing up phlegm, but it is loose and is clear. I would get GP appointment for antibiotics it it doesn’t clear up soon, especially if it’s green.

EatYourFive · 25/03/2022 15:34

Oh bugger not the responses I was hoping for! Will see how I feel on Monday and contact GP if it's not improved by then.
@catfunk that's interesting about dairy, I like my coffee very milky.

I’ve finally stopped coughing up stuff but it probably didn’t completely disappear until day 21
