Any babies had vomiting while covid positive?

My fiancé infected myself and my 17 month DD with covid. Its the first time we've had covid. We're both triple vaxed and only have Mild cold like symptoms. My daughter was ok until she stopped eating and drinking water and breastfeeding at 2pm today. She started drinking again at 6pm but has vomited 4 times since then. I called 111 who said to keep giving her fluids and a doctor will call me tomorrow morning.
Does anyone have any advice? She's my first child and seeing her like this is so upsetting and worrying :(

Not babies but my young children both had very high temps and vomited for about 36 hours with covid and had awful stomach cramping. They were fine after that.

It’s awful when they are little and unwell. Keep up the fluids as you have said- sips of water, iceblocks. Maybe something with electroytes if she keeps vomiting - you can buy electrolyte iceblocks which my children could stomach. I hope this passes quickly for you both.

Thank you @shewillhaveherway i really appreciate your advice. I'll get some electrolyte iceblocks. Thank you again Flowers

Not my children but I’ve just had covid and on day 2 and 3 I was constantly vomiting. Disgusting tip but try to give fluids literally straight after she’s sick as it’s more likely to stay down (old trick I learnt during hyperemesis!).
Ice lollies tend to stay down better too and ease the nausea

Oh and I happy the little one feels better soon Flowers

Hope not Happy!

The new variant seems to cause gastric issues. Hope your little one gets better soon

We all had it recently and my baby was the worst out of all of us. High temperature, coughing, being sick but he got better quickly.

Kids always amaze me that way as they can go down hill really fast but also pick up very quickly too.

Gastric issues are common with this new variant apparently. I see you’re breastfeeding which will hopefully help keen them hydrated and not too hungry.

I hope she feels better soon

Thank you @Teakind it's really good to know that your baby recovered quickly. I hope she does too Flowers

Hope she feels better soon, keep up the fluids especially breastfeeding as that'll potentially give antibodies from you.

I had terrible gastric issues with this latest variant. Yucky D&V.

My son is older (8) but vomited a LOT with covid. Definitely covid as confirmed with a PCR test. Apparently, very common in children; can be an adult symptom too but not as frequently reported in adults.

Yeh, my DD (4) was sick with covid. It appears to be pretty common among kids! Vomiting is horrible to watch but it’s really common for kids to be quite violently sick in comparison to adults. Both mine when small would vomit every 15 minutes for several hours with bugs 😭 but the next day, be totally fine, just very tired!
