Covid recovery certificate - how many days after positive can you get one (travel to France)

How many days after a positive do you get a certificate (a virtual one on the app?) Information for NI says 10 days, but can’t see anything for England.

To enter France you need a sworn statement that you haven’t been in contact with anyone positive in the last 14 days. Does that include yourself if you have tested positive say 18 days previously but have a recovery certificate?

Honestly, I’m an intelligent person but the info is so hard to find and put together 😩

Hi OP, I got my recovery pass but had had covid ages before trying to get it. Just googled and Haddenham Surgery (NHS) has a page on this, which says it's 14 days after positive that the proof of recovery QR code is available to download on the NHS app/site.

I'm not sure about the sworn statement, sorry.

Ooh thanks, I’ll have a look.

Just bumping this again.

With an additional question: is the recovery pass valid where the positive was reported on an LFT?

Me again! I think the NHS QR code is only generated via the official PCR.

The statement also includes you not having any symptoms in the previous 14 days.

Hello, I’ve just been to France. Nothing like this was required when we entered France. As far as I understand they stopped the requirement for covid pass on Friday the 18th March. No one asked to see our covid pass even at border control. When we left the U.K. we were asked if we were triple vaxed but did not need to show proof.
I went skiing, ate in restaurants, shopped, no pass requested at all. Also no masks required, if we wore them in to restaurants and bars we got told ‘remove them, no need’.
In answer to your question, you would only get a ‘recovery’ QR code if you did a positive pcr not just a lat flow.

Recovery certificate appears on the app 10 days after a positive PCR. Must be PCR not lateral flow. However as pp said, I went to France last week and no one asked for anything. I had the sworn statement in my bag and never showed it to anyone. It comes down to whether you are happy to sign the sworn statement, I definitely would!

Thanks all, that’s really helpful!

Does anyone know exactly when. Is test day, day 0 or day 1? We had a positive on wed and need to fly following Fri. Eek

TweenTrauma · 29/03/2022 18:10

I had a positive PCR on the Tuesday, the recovery pass showed up on the app Friday the following week.

secondaryquandries · 30/03/2022 09:07

Thank you. I guess that is day 10, with pcr day counting as 0.
