Anyone with these symptoms?

I had covid 7/8 months ago, since yesterday I’ve had a bad back down the left side, keep feeling shivery, got the sniffles, bit of a sporadic dry cough and just feeling bleugh. I’ve done a LFT which is negative, just wondering if anyone has the current variant and feels like this? I had a bad back for 24 hours last time I had it and it’s that which is making me wonder if in a couple of days my LFT will turn positive?

I haven't had it but a couple of family members have at the moment and a friend and they all describe it like you do I'm afraid.

I'm just starting recovery (day 10 first negative test today) and I felt totally spaced out for the duration. Still do really. It was either like my brain was wrapped in cotton wool or like I'd had a couple of glasses of strong wine...for breakfast! Awful.

I’m on day 11 and that’s very much how it started for me. Much better now but recovery feels slow. Fatigue is relentless. (Possibly due to having to walk dogs, look after children etc!) Agree with other poster, cotton wool head/pissed feeling now main symptoms - but first few days were very much shivery, dizzy, spaced out, exhausted, then sore throat & sniffles, sleep sleep sleep

Yep, all of that. Especially the spaced out feeling. I'm on day 9 now and feel just as awful as I did on day 1, and my LFT is just as blazingly positive! I had symptoms for almost a week before I got my positive - I knew I had it because DD did. I was testing daily as CEV.

Just done another test and still negative at the moment and symptoms seemed to have eased a little this evening although I still don’t feel right!

Sorry but this does sound like how it started for me . My sister also had a week of body aches before testing positive

Can you call in sick tomorrow?

Both myself, my brother and my DH all were negative (we test daily due to immunocompromised elderly father) and as soon as the symptoms started went positive. It seemed to turn on a dime for all
3 of us. My brother even did a PCR on a Saturday, got the negative result on the Sunday, got ill overnight ans tested positive on LFT on Monday night…
So perhaps you just dont have Covid itself? Are you swabbing your throat? Apparently very key for Omicron

Yes I’ve swabbed my throat and nose. The strange thing is the back ache, which I had for a day when I did have covid, never had it before or since so that’s thrown me a little. I can’t really call in sick so not sure what to do.

Could it be a uti? Do you have/have you had any urinary symptoms eg burning, stinging, frequency?

I’m just getting over a cold which started with back pain. Caught it off DH who also complained of bad back before cold symptoms started. I have LFT’d daily since I work in frontline health care and I’m the only one working this week ( staff holiday) so can’t be off sick.
I’ve had Covid twice and triple vaccinated.
There are a lot of colds/viruses going round due to lifting of restrictions. Not every cold is Covid.

I’ve had backache with this. It came on about day 7, in the evenings with some diarrhoea (soz!) and nausea… Forgot to mention the Gastric side of things.. feels like I’ve had every symptom going!

I’m not sure if the test on the right has a line or it’s just how it’s dried because it’s also red above it in the middle? Both taken this morning an hour apart, one on the left has no line.

Anyone with these symptoms?

I can see a line, did it appear within the time window? However given my DS gets false positives like that I'd get a PCR to check if so.

My symptoms started late last week, like a really bad cold, tired, my face and jaw hurt a lot. I have a bit of a cough from all the snot, which is worse at night. Negative test last week so though it must be a 'normal' cold, but now testing positive. DP and DC all positive with no symptoms, DC now have snots and coughs and tummy aches. Hope you feel better soon OP, whatever it is!

Mine started with really bad back pains and aching legs, fatigue, shivering and temperature on day 1. Day 3 is hacking cough and weirdly bleeding gums.

Forgot to say I can see a line on your 2nd test. Mine started as very faint like that- then bam- next day very line almost immediately.
Also have very sore throat like I have swallowed glass.
