Still positive Day 10

Hi
I'm currently on day 9 and I'm still testing positive. I know after day 10 I don't have to isolate anymore even if I am positive. However I'm unsure about meeting up with people if I am still positive. I am still coughing. Would you meet with people?

Would you cuddle your kids?

I would stay away from close contact with people as much as I possibly could. Just as I would with any other respiratory illness.

I tested very positive on day 9. Day 10 was almost completely negative. Day 11 was definitely negative.

Continue to be careful but I wouldn’t say you need to worry too much. I didn’t isolate from my family at all and none of them got it.

I would continue to stay away until I got 2x negative tests

I’d stay away until I got 2 negatives I think. I was negative on day 10, but it took DH until day 12. Neither of us stayed away from DC because they gave it to us- realistically I don’t think we would have anyway, it would’ve been impractical and also would’ve upset them (they’re quite young).

This has never been the advice.

DH was still testing positive seven weeks after he finished isolation last autumn.

Also, the covid cough can linger for weeks - it doesn't mean you're infectious.
