If you still had a positive lateral flow after day ten would you stop isolating?

Yes

WorkEvent · 19/03/2022 20:23

Yes. Some people test positive for weeks.

Lennybenny · 19/03/2022 20:27

It literally says not to test or isolate after 10 days and go back to normal.

Mindymomo · 20/03/2022 07:14

Yes, I’m not doing any more tests. 4 of us here have just come out of isolation at day 10.

Interestingly in some countries the advice is that a positive lateral flow still means that there is a lingering infection

After we had covid last year DH was still testing positive on LFT seven weeks later!

It's always been the case that after ten days you're free to go, regardless of LFT (apart from in the very early days of the pandemic when it was 14 days).

You may still be showing positive but you will not be infectious. The recommendation is if you are still positive after day 5 and 6 keep testing until you get 2 negative tests in a row each day up to a maximum of 10 days after that no testing and you can come out of isolation.
