Trying to work out who started it

I'm sure most people with covid have at one time or another tried to work out who got it first and where from..

DD had a slight cough Friday when I picked her up at nursery and a snotty nose Saturday. Saturday night, she woke up and cried quite a bit. Sounded like she had a sore throat. She was absolutely fine on Sunday.

No tests done on her.

I was very tired on Saturday and felt like I had a dry throat.

Sunday I felt a bit achey and throat worse, plus headache - very faint positive LFT. Started isolating immediately and asked husband to do LFT on DD and himself. When I looked at DD's test later, I saw a very faint line. But it may have been an hour later, rather than 30 minutes. So asked husband to do another test and it was stark white. His tests also negative. I note that he is very bad at testing DD and barely swabs her, she's only 2, so it's very hard.

I isolated all week from them and today got woken up by husband telling me he's positive. I get a bit of DD's snot somehow on the swab and it comes up positive immediately. Strong positive. I was so surprised ! I wonder if she had it all along since Friday / Saturday and is pretty much asymptomatic, or if she's caught it now and worse is to come. Any options? I wonder if she got it first and gave it to me, or the other way so around !

My son felt poorly Tuesday. Negative test. Testing him again Friday as he was a contact of someone and it was a strong instant positive. Faint postive Sunday and negative Monday. My guess is had I tested Wednesday it would have been positive and then slowly started to go on the Sunday. Two days after he was clear the rest of the house got it

Anyway you and DD caught it off the same person last week and it came out over the weekend and then DH caught it of you both? Be unlikely for you to catch it off her so soon I would imagine, and the negative for her could have been not getting enough on the swab. It’s a guessing game really I imagine as everyone is different.

How is everyone in your house holding up ? I hope well !

Yes you're right, maybe we caught it off the same person. Perhaps her nursery teacher, as she had a funny sounding voice one of the days I picked DD up last week. Maybe she had it then. But yeah, just guessing. But I'm mainly trying to guess if my DD is going to get worse or not. Hope not !

I just recovered from it

My 4 yr old Ds had a runny nose , sneezing and slight temperature two Fridays ago when I picked him up from nursery . He Felt a bit better on Saturday/Sunday but I didn't test him as it seems normal for nursery kids and he wasn't too down with it

Then I started experiencing symptoms on Sunday (body aches) and Sunday midnight/ Monday morning I started feeling feverish . Tested myself and was a strong positive Monday midday

My 8 yr old DD had gone to school and just coincidentally after I tested, I was called by her school to say she was feeling really lll

Picked her and tested her - strong positive

I then decided to test my 4yr old DS who had the cold few days before (the Friday )
, his test was positive but fading and I tested him on Tuesday evening, it was negative

So he was the one that brought it home even though he just had little sniffles, we wouldn't have known if I and my DD were not ill and then tested. We were hit HARD till we got better just last Friday while he was his usual self

DD1 currently has it.
Non of us have caught it from her yet though but I assume it's only a matter of time.

She woke early hours of Saturday morning feeling sick and did vomit a few times. Tested and negative. Sneezing occasionally since then, Tuesday morning negative tests.
Still sneezing occasionally by the Tuesday night so decided to test her again and faint positive. By Wednesday morning blazing positives.

Lots of cases across her school with barley any one showing any main symptoms or symptoms at all.
