Baby covid

My 4MO baby has Covid and 5 days in he just won’t eat?? He normally has 35oz (mix breast and formula) a day but is now taking 18oz when forced and we are back to 10 night wake ups with tiny snacks (pre covid he was only having 3oz at 4am and one wake up). In the day when he eats he has terrible wind and seems in pain. Has anyone else experienced this and how long will it last?

Hi @Franks12321 how is your baby now? My 6 month old has covid and I had no sleep last night. She was so wakeful and not settling at all (previously sleeping through). Thankfully still drinking plenty for now. Hope your LO is better!

Hope everyone's babies are ok, my 6 month old has just recovered and we had a week of awful sleep, not taking as much milk and he ended up with croup too. As long as you're getting enough wet nappies, I would just go with him for a few days and hopefully he'll pick up. If really concerned, and his nappies tail off then I would see GP or 111.

@HalloHello good to know your LO got better. Did sleep get back to pre covid normality after he got better? Dd will only sleep on me while sleep breastfeeding and won't be put down at all. So worried about how I'll cope with this and looking after 2 DC, especially if I also nd up ill myself. Feel awful today already!

Took a couple of nights after the croup, but back to normal then! Think we had 6 nights of very bad sleep before that! Hope you're getting a bit of rest now. My near 4 year old had terrible disturbed sleep with Covid, same with her cousins as well so must be a thing!
