Hating the waiting game

Everyone else in my household has Covid right now. I have mild cold symptoms but testing neg on lateral flows. The waiting to see is stressing me out.

Dh and DS1 tested positive Thursday, DS2 on Friday and then finally me today, although I’ve had the same symptoms and felt awful and had 2 dreadful nights sleep on the sofa trying to isolate, which was a waste when I could have been in my comfy bed, where I am now.

It's weird. Round 1 in January DD was the only one to get it.
This time DS tested positive on Thursday ( had symptoms Wednesday), DH yesterday, I started coughing yesterday but LFT and PCR negative. Did another LFT today which was positive. That junior leaves DD but I'm hoping she's immune as she has it less than 2 months ago.

We've all had cold symptoms for well over a week. DD finally tested positive on Tuesday but me and DH didn't until yesterday. I do wonder if we've all had a cold first, seems odd that we've been testing daily for over a week and only just turned positive yesterday.

DS2 was like this. DS1 has had cold symptoms and constantly tested negative. I got a cold straight after DS2, did a test as a precaution before an event, negative, then no point in testing after DS2 came up positive as we weren't going anywhere indoors for a few days and then we'd get to 10 days since symptoms started by the time he went negative. DH now come up with a blazing positive a few days into a "cold".

When I had it at Christmas, it came up the morning after symptoms started.

Oh well 10+ days since we started so back to normal for the rest of us this week.

The problem is it's hayfever season so prickly throats, sinus headaches and drippy noses will be occuring constantly between now and August.

I had cold symptoms last weekend that turned into sinus pain. All tests negative until today. Actually finally felt better on Saturday morning then the coughing started Saturday afternoon. I'm assuming I got a cold then Covid as yesterdays PCR was negative and today's positive LFT was quite faint.

toddler 2 year old DD has today tested positive we are all negative at the moment fingers crossed it stays that way. My eldest DD had it months before and none of us got it.

DS2 7 tested positive this afternoon, symptoms started yesterday.

I slept with him last night as he felt poorly. Can't see how I won't get it. At the moment the rest of us are negative (DS1 8, DH and me).

So frustrating waiting now!

DH tested positive about 36 hours after first inkling of a tickly throat. I tested positive 60 hours after onset of symptoms.

DC1 tested positive on Tuesday. DC2 developed symptoms on Thursday but had negative LFTs, did a PCR on Friday which was positive.
I had cold-like symptoms most of last week, felt awful all weekend, still a negative LFT last night but positive this morning. DH still negative.

I posted on Sunday when one son was positive. Yesterday the other son got ill but testing negative. Toddy both DH and I are testing positive!

@hedgehogger1 do you have any symptoms?

I've sent off a home PCR for my son who is testing negative on lateral flows. Not sure really why as I'm 99% sure it's covid. He has exactly the same symptoms but lasting longer than my son who caught it first.
