Getting worse, not better!

I tested positive 10 days ago. I had chills and muscle pain for a night then very mild cold symptoms afterwards but in the last 48 hours I seem to have got worse- I feel short of breath and have lost my sense of taste and smell too. Is this normal? Are there any other symptoms I can look forward to?

I have heard that for people who get more seriously ill with Covid, it often gets worse around ten days. Like there's some shift in what the virus is doing at that stage. It's apparently helpful to get one of those finger clips that monitors blood oxygen, as you can check if it's within the healthy range or if you need medical support - and of course seek medical advice if you have any worries. I got worse around about that mark, but not too breathless - it just morphed into a potential long Covid at that stage, having been a very mild illness before...
