so tested positive yesterday via LFT then PCR - only tested as visiting elderly relative so don't feel that unwell but actually chest now feeling bit tight. I know I don't have to legally isolate but I want to do the right thing and I work with the public in hospitality. so I am isolating 5 days is Tuesday, if I feel ok do I test day 5 and 6 or day 6 and 7 and then am I ok to mix and be out and about on the day of the second test if I feel well and it is negative or do I have to wait until the next day? Don't want to put anyone at risk ! everywhere I look seems to have conflicting advice

If you want to follow the guidance then The day you test positive is day zero ( unless you had symptoms before) so today would be day 1 for you and you could test on Wednesday (day 5) and Thursday (day 6). If both are negative you can go out straight after the second test.
