Anyone had v bad dizzy spells?

I'm on day 7 and my lft went negative today. The first few days were rough but manageable as I stayed in bed. I got out of bed on day 4 and was up all day yesterday.

Today I'm having these severe dizzy spells. When they come on I feel like I'm going to pass out. I've never had dizzyness to this extent. It's like all the air gets sucked out of me and I literally have to catch myself

Anyone else experienced this? How long did they last?

Yes I tested positive on a lateral flow yesterday and have been getting bad dizzy spells too, although they have been going on since the end of last week so I'm unsure if it's 100% related. My dizzy spells happen after eating and lasts for about an hour, I just feel spaced out and not completely with it, but also like I could pass out at times.

Really glad I saw your post as it's put my mind at rest that it's most likely a symptom.

Dc2(10) has been suffering from mild dizziness, he tested positive last Sunday. Dc3(9) has been experiencing it too & she fainted twice on Wednesday (scared her Dad the first time), she tested positive last Saturday. Because she's young we did call the GP surgery, they said they weren't overly concerned but they've had quite a lot of calls over the last 3 weeks or so with covid + people experiencing extreme dizziness &/or fainting.

DH was quite dizzy when he had it, not as bad as you though.

Dizzy all the way through. It was the first symptom.

itisyourbirthdayKelly · 14/03/2022 09:25

Yes! Never known anything like it!

I went to get out of bed in the mornings for a couple of days and honestly couldn’t stand up for a bit, the room was spinning.

@itisyourbirthdayKelly is it better now?

Yes, it was back at the beginning of jan. It was just a few days of dizziness with one really bad day of it. It was all over in a week for me.

I hope you are feeling better today?

WLAH · 15/03/2022 23:14

Mine has eased this evening

WLAH · 19/03/2022 14:22

Still dizzy when I do much. Testing Negative since yesterday

TypicaIMe · 19/03/2022 14:29

I've had them all the way through. The dizziness/spaced out feeling has been the worst symptom for me, because there's been absolutely no let up. I'm on day 7.

WLAH · 19/03/2022 14:44

Day 10 here

Pharmacy told me lot people suffering few weeks on post covid from dizziness

WLAH · 24/03/2022 07:31

Dizziness/vomitting continued here til I ended up on drip in a&e

wastedtwenties · 01/04/2022 17:17

I'm 4 weeks from Testing positive and having severe dizzy spells. Went Gp last week and she noted my oxygen was dropping to 94 when she asked me to pace the room a few times.

I've checked it at home today using one of those oximeters and it's swinging between 88-99. I don't know how accurate it is; I don't feel worse than last week but just feel horrendous

How long can I expect this to last? The GP said to call back if worse or any new symptoms like
Chest pain
