When did you go back to work

I've missed 2 days of work.I had to as I couldn't get out of bed and had temperature headaches and bad body aches.
Yesterday and today were days off.i managed to get dressed today and have more energy than I have since Sunday.coronavirus positive Monday.
I don't know whether to offer to go back for 12 hr busy day or go Sunday as I said I would before I was told isolation wasn't necessary.
What did you do

I would only go when I felt ready to. Offering to go when you're not could cause more health issues for you.

Go back when you feel better.

We are in Scotland so still have to isolate. Seems absolutely mad to me that you can go back to work so soon! I'm day 9 today and testing negative but still felt guilty taking me baby to the doctor's today!

It is frustrating the rules have changed.i do feel better than I have all week but I'm still infections as far as I know.

When you’re well enough, if you’re getting paid I guess. I’m on day 5 today and although a lot better than yesterday would not have managed even the walk to work, never mind actually doing any.
It seems that most people are assuming it’s all asymptomatic now. Definitely hasn’t been here!

My physical symptoms subsided but I was so so exhausted for a week after. Don't push it or you'll take longer to recover.

DespairingHomeowner · 11/03/2022 20:22

There’s a lot of difference between getting dressed and doing a busy 12 hour shift … think it might be too soon

I’m on day 10, going for a 20 min walk today wore me out. Will be trying to WFH on Monday but maybe 1/2 days if I can’t do full ones

Wellbythebloodyhell · 11/03/2022 21:35

You go back whenever you feel able and well enough to carry out your role same as you would with any other illness.

You probably need a day off that's fairly active to see how you feel. Do you have a standing job or desk job?

My DD is on day 7 now and planning to go back to work tomorrow but it's retail floor work so she may struggle (and she has to walk 30 mins to work).

I'm on day 5 and still testing positive but feeling much better so, setbacks aside, will be back to my WFH office job on Monday.
