I think so but partner says No.

I would say so, can you test again?

PurpleDaisies · 10/03/2022 17:54

Did it come up in the time?
I can see a very faint line. I’d probably just do another one.

PatriciaHolm · 10/03/2022 17:55

it's a squinter, but yes.

Bytrgrewd · 10/03/2022 17:55

Yes can see that clearly

Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark · 10/03/2022 17:55

That's what mine looked like on day 10

Soul11Soul · 10/03/2022 17:56

Yip. Defo a line.

Changethetoner · 10/03/2022 17:59

I'd accept that as negative.

intheblightgarden · 10/03/2022 18:02

There's a second line, so it's positive. If that was a pregnancy test you'd be decorating the nursery

BlackInk · 10/03/2022 18:54

We've had quite a few that look like that and haven't been true positives. If you zoom in it's more of a dark smudge over a bigger area than a line. Our true positives have been really, really obvious. I'd do another test in the morning and make sure you don't put too much liquid on.

AyeEee123 · 10/03/2022 18:59

Yes it is. This was my child’s positive which looks similar.

Did you have a PCR? Otherwise how would you know? I'd assume that any hint if a line means positive
Jenjenn · 10/03/2022 19:01

Yes. My dh is on day 5 of covid, lots of symptoms and really dark lines. I am not isolating from him, have minor symptoms and my lines look like that (tested a few days in a row). I am assuming I have covid.

AncientWhitedogpoop · 10/03/2022 19:30

I left it a while and have retested and this is the second test so he is definitely positive. No symptoms at all -other than DS came out of school saying he had been shivering in class. He was absolutely fine this morning.

Oh yes definitely positive 😆
Hope he carries on feeling ok

AncientWhitedogpoop · 10/03/2022 20:20

Thanks @Bytrgrewd !

Yes it's much clearer isn't it! He's feeling fine so far thank goodness and no symptoms.

DH feeling sheepish that he dismissed my suspicions after the first test.

Years of analysing pregnancy tests when struggling to conceive gave me a mean pair of "line eyes".

Were those tests just a couple of hours apart?! That doesn't seem right, 1st one wasn't done properly perhaps...

AncientWhitedogpoop · 10/03/2022 20:44

One at about 4pm and the other at 7:30pm

Both done by me, using the same method Smile

Mine started as faint as that 3 tests later each one got darker. So it can defo go from that faint to dark in a short space of time.

Thewindwhispers · 10/03/2022 21:48

Yes. The instructions say a faint linenis still anpoaitive (false negatives are common but false positive is much more rare)

DD has had a stinking 'cold' for over a week and has been testing daily, completely negative, no hint of a line. She did one before she went to bed last night, negative - but the one she's just done before work looks exactly like OP's second photo. Six hours apart!

She says that almost everyone at work (she's a teacher, so staff and pupils) have this 'cold' but nobody has tested positive, which is why she thought hers couldn't be covid either.

Stormchaser1502 · 12/03/2022 22:56

I tested at 11pm at night and was completely negative.
Next test at 6am and was almost black!

Mine were like that.

One dismissed as negative by everyone at work (school) at 9am (I was sure I could see a very very faint hint but everyone else couldn't, so went with them as couldn't justify leaving if no one else could see it) - however clearly very positive one by 4pm same day when I got home.

MrsSkylerWhite · 13/03/2022 11:40

I can see the line in first pictures.

Scottishgirl85 · 13/03/2022 19:53

An update since my query to the OP that tests couldn't surely change that quickly...
My husband's tests taken 2 minutes apart. He was on Day 9 and had a few days of negatives, then random strong positive followed by another negative 2 minutes later. Really doubting their accuracy now!

AncientWhitedogpoop · 15/03/2022 13:11

Thanks @Scottishgirl85 for the update.

I ended up testing positive myself on Saturday and mine were really dark from day one. I feel really poorly with it despite three jabs.
